Accord Care allied health providers are trained in their respective disciplines whilst working together with a multidisciplinary team approach. We are dedicated to providing all the service participants need, in one place – to ensure that your total health and wellbeing is well taken care of.
Our allied health team is made up of highly qualified professionals to provide both therapeutic and interventional support which is tailored to the unique needs of each participant.
Occupational Therapists
Can assist people with disabilities through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. They can help participants to develop, recover, improve, as well as maintain the skills needed for daily living and working.
Psychologists
Can help participants learn to cope more effectively with life issues and mental health challenges. Using a variety of techniques, based on the latest research, and providing advice and therapy to suit an individual participant.
Physiotherapists
Can provide treatment to participants to address physical problems arising from issues such as injury, illness or ageing. They can help by providing exercises that work to overcome restrictions of movement and mobility.
Dieticians
Can help provide dietary advice, promote healthy eating habits and develop diets specific to those wanting to address certain health issues. They strive to improve a participant’s life by addressing their dietary choices.
Podiatrists
Can help with the health of feet, ankles and lower limbs. They can work to prevent, diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions and foot problems that arise from underlying medical conditions such as diabetes and arthritis.
Community Nursing Care
Can help by performing a variety of nursing procedures for participants; checking temperatures, blood pressure and breathing – and assisting with examinations and medical procedures.
Social Workers
Can help participants solve and cope with problems in their day-to-day lives. They can help people face life’s challenges, improve wellbeing and work to ensure that participants are treated fairly.
Exercise Physiologists
Can help participants who may have a wide range of chronic diseases or musculoskeletal conditions. They can conduct assessments, prescribe appropriate exercise, supervise and monitor exercise and lifestyle programs.
Speech Pathologists
Can work with participants who have difficulties communicating due to developmental delays, stroke, brain injuries, learning and intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, dementia or hearing loss.
